Our initiatives.

Our short-stay accommodation provides income, and we can invest in several charitable causes. Here are a few examples.

Every Christmas, we buy a new home and give it to a homeless family.

Rather than spend money on commercialised cards or vacuous gifts that will end up in landfill, we use part of our income to support the Gawad Kalinga charity in the Philippines. The funds buy a house which we hand over to a homeless family.

Kyle works in our Short Stay Let Guest Communications team, and lives in the Philippines. It's a project dear to his heart because he knows full well the need for support for the desperately poor.

Everybody deserves to live and grow up in a safe, comfortable, and stable environment. Providing a permanent space and building a caring community for our country's homeless families will directly impact reducing crime, raising productivity, and improving the quality of life for all.

This project helps restore the dignity of living of families without homes or land to have a permanent space to build their lives and dreams.

Every time we get a booking, we plant a tree.

Our Design Director, Emily, is very conscious of the need to protect the environment and inspired this project. With our charity partner, Health in Harmony, we plant trees in Indonesian Borneo. This helps to regenerate rainforest for Indigenous and traditional rainforest communities, wildlife, and the planet.

Rainforest community members use seedlings as a form of non-cash payment at health clinics, which means planting a tree pays back two-fold because it also covers the cost of providing healthcare for rainforest communities who care for the forests that our planet depends on. We donate funds to plant thousands of trees every year.

Together with our partners and rainforest communities in Indonesia, we've helped:
- Over 50,000 acres of forest to be regenerated
- Over 320,000 seedlings have been planted
- Prevent 46,536,823 pounds of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere

- Reduce carbon equivalent emissions of 10.2 million people's average global use per year.

Well done, Emily!

When a guest stays for a month, we pay for the education of a child.

Amy, our Development Director, has two young daughters - Izzie and Katie. She knows how lucky they are to get a great education, and wanted to support a charity that helped others who weren't as fortunate. This project provides education for adolescent orphan girls, with an objective of reducing school drop out rates due to a lack of funding.

Through this project, young girls gain access to education. Upon enrolment in school, the organisation pays fees, provides materials, and offers life skills training and mentorship programs during school holidays. This will ensure that girls are empowered to go through any challenge while at home and maintain performance.

Every time a guest stays with us for one month, we fund the schooling of one more girl - and we're already helping hundreds of girls to reach their potential through education.
